Job Purpose
To provide comprehensive and high-quality primary care services to patients of all ages in PHM department in our scope of services, providing high-quality clinical care, promoting health education, and supporting the overall patient care plan in Primary Care centre, Telehealth and Home healthcare as well.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including detailed medical histories, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up.
- Perform clinical procedures as required, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions commonly seen in primary care and coordinating care with other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct routine physical examinations, screenings, and preventive care interventions.
- Provide care continuity for patients with long-term health conditions.
- Prescribe medications, order laboratory tests and imaging studies, and provide referrals to specialists as clinically indicated, adhering to established prescribing guidelines.
- Provide preventive care services, including well-child checkups, immunizations, health screenings, and lifestyle counseling to promote optimal health and prevent disease.
- Address patient concerns, answer medical questions, and provide guidance on health management strategies in a clear, concise, and empathetic manner.
Patient Education and Support
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment plans.
- Provide counselling on medication management, chronic disease care, and lifestyle modifications.
- Develop and distribute tailored educational materials on family health and wellness.
- Support patients in understanding and managing their healthcare needs.
Quality and Compliance
- Adhere to healthcare regulations, standards, and protocols.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with patient safety and infection control measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with medical regulations and guidelines in medical practice.
Professional Development
- Stay updated on advances in medical practice, treatment protocols, and healthcare trends.
- Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development activities.
- Mentor and supervise junior doctors, residents as needed.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- § Bachelor degree in medicine (MBBCh or equivalent) from a recognized medical school.
- § Valid GP medical license to practice in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
- § Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience is required.
- § Telehealth experience or remote patient management is preferred.
Skills
- Clinical Experience
- i. Demonstrated clinical proficiency in family medicine or general practice, with a strong foundation in diagnosis, treatment, and management of a wide range of medical conditions across all age groups.
- ii. Experience in providing preventive care services, managing chronic diseases, and addressing common health concerns in an outpatient setting.
- Communication Skills
- i. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members in a virtual environment.
- ii. Ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and concisely, using plain language that patients can easily understand.
- iii. Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and cultural sensitivity in communicating with diverse patient populations.
- Analytical Abilities
- i. Strong analytical skills to assess clinical data, interpret diagnostic results, and develop appropriate care plans within the telehealth context, considering available resources and limitations.
- ii. Ability to identify and resolve technical issues, troubleshoot problems, and adapt care plans as needed to address unforeseen challenges.
- Telehealth Experience
- i. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual care systems is advantageous to ensure effective remote consultations.
- ii. Ability to adapt clinical assessment techniques to the virtual environment, ensuring accurate and thorough patient evaluations.
- iii. Understanding of telehealth etiquette, communication strategies, and patient engagement techniques specific to the virtual setting.
- Technical Proficiency
- i. Comfort and competence in using computers, electronic health records (EHRs), telehealth platforms, and other relevant software applications.
- ii. Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
- Teamwork and Collaboration

Working Conditions

- o Work is performed in Primary Healthcare Centre, Telehealth Services, and Home health care visits.
- Hours
- o Full‑time position with varying shifts, with occasional extended hours including the possibility of weekend and holiday shifts to accommodate patient needs.
