Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a well‑established retail group in Saudi Arabia looking to hire a Fresh Food Manager who will oversee the deli department, leading a team to ensure smooth operations. Candidate will report to the Store Manager and be responsible for daily tasks, staff management, and maintaining food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Staff Management
- Recruit, train, and supervise fresh food associates, ensuring they follow company policies and procedures.
- Create work schedules to ensure proper staffing during peak hours and maintain smooth operations.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and development opportunities to team members.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high productivity.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversee daily deli operations, including food preparation, display, and service, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for efficiency and consistency.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimize waste while maintaining product availability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, health codes, and company hygiene standards.
- Business Growth & Innovation
- Identify trends and introduce new products, promotions, or seasonal offerings to attract customers.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to set sales targets and develop strategies to achieve them.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to improve product selection and service quality.
- Financial & Budget Management
- Assist in preparing and managing the department’s budget, controlling costs without compromising quality.
- Monitor expenses, reduce waste, and implement cost‑saving measures where possible.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) like sales, margins, and labor costs to meet financial goals.
- Customer Service & Compliance
- Ensure customers receive friendly, efficient service and resolve any complaints promptly.
- Conduct regular inspections to guarantee cleanliness, food safety, and adherence to regulations.
- Maintain accurate records for audits, inventory, and staff documentation.
Requirements
- Min 5 years as Fresh Food Manager or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field.
- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
- Budgeting and cost‑saving experience.
- Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Good communication and leadership abilities.
- Comfort with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
