The core manufacturing activities of the industries operating under alfanar Building Systems include ceramics, façade cladding and glazing systems, precast concrete products, and office & home furniture and interior décor products.

Role

Maintenance Foreman — lead a team of technicians responsible for the complete fleet of heavy construction, earthmoving, and plant equipment, with a special emphasis on concrete pumps and transit mixers and urgent repair of the ready-mix concrete fleet.

Responsibilities

General Fleet Maintenance Supervision:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of technicians in the maintenance and repair of a wide range of heavy equipment.
  • Oversee the Preventive Maintenance (PM) program for the entire fleet, ensuring schedules are met and tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Foster a strong safety culture, ensuring all maintenance activities adhere to company and regulatory safety protocols (e.g., LOTO).

Specialized Focus on Concrete & Ready-Mix Fleet:

  • Act as the primary technical expert for all concrete-related equipment, including mobile boom pumps, static line pumps, and transit mixers.
  • Prioritize maintenance activities for the ready-mix fleet to ensure maximum uptime and support for concrete delivery schedules.
  • Lead complex troubleshooting of high-pressure hydraulic systems on concrete pumps and drivetrain/mixer systems on transit mixers.

Scope of Equipment Expertise:

  • Concrete & Ready-Mix Fleet (Primary Focus): Mobile Concrete Pumps (Boom Pumps), Static/Line Pumps, and Transit Mixers.
  • Earthmoving Equipment: Excavators, Bulldozers, Wheel Loaders, Motor Graders, Skid Steer Loaders, and Backhoe Loaders.
  • Road & Compaction Equipment: Asphalt Pavers, Milling Machines, and a full range of Rollers (Earth, Tire, Steel, and Hand Rollers).
  • Lifting & Access Equipment: Mobile Cranes, Aerial Work Platforms (Manlifts), Telehandlers (Telelifts), and Forklifts.

Resource and Workshop Management:

  • Coordinate with the spare parts department to ensure availability of components for all equipment, with special attention to the needs of the ready-mix fleet.
  • Ensure the workshop is equipped with specialized tools and diagnostic equipment for general heavy machinery and specific concrete equipment.
  • Supervise any third-party contractors performing specialized work (e.g., boom inspections, engine overhauls).

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on overall fleet availability with KPIs for the ready-mix division.
  • Maintain comprehensive service histories for each major asset to support reliability improvements and lifecycle management.
Role Accountability

  • Training subordinates and forming a team to get the work effectively done.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates in all aspects of their work.
  • Delegate subordinates in each respective assignment.
  • Ensure fair distribution of tasks to maintain morale and motivation of subordinates.

  • Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.

  • Resolve related problems and escalate complex operational issues as needed.

Quality:

  • Ensure quality requirements and develop effective quality control processes and specifications for products or related activities.

Business Process Improvements:

  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures; seek automation opportunities where possible.

  • Comply with related policy, procedures, and work instructions.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures to guarantee safety and delivery of high-quality products/services.
