Qualifications

Overview

Lead and coordinate line heating production activities by coordinating resources and ensuring compliance with safety standards, technical specifications, and IMI Management System requirements. Contribute to the safe, high-quality, and timely execution of operational objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate all production activities to ensure safe and timely execution.
  • Verify that technicians perform carpentry tasks in compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Ensure adherence to technical drawings and documentation throughout the work process.
  • Select appropriate equipment and methods based on job requirements.
  • Confirm possession of valid work permits (Hot/Cold/Isolation, etc.) before initiating any production activity.
  • Establish and enhance work standards to boost safety and productivity. Participate in daily toolbox talks and implement necessary precautions to mitigate job-related risks.
  • Monitor technician compliance with safety protocols during operations.
  • Enforce Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security (HSES) regulations consistently. Inspect tools and equipment regularly to ensure safe operational condition.
  • Track material usage and identify potential shortages early to prevent delays.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Experience: At least 12 years’ experience in Offshore Shipyard/Ship repair Industry.
  • Professional Qualifications & Competencies: Certified 1G and 2G (ABS/Class Certified)
  • Excellent skills of producing curved plates by line heating work.
  • Experience in line heating work for more than 5 years.
  • Knowledge of Inspecting materials, bending equipment and tools.
  • Understanding of various bending processes, bending symbols, part symbol, as well as cutting and grinding and equipment operations.
  • Good oral communication skills in English.
  • Supervise and lead a group of technicians, overseeing the execution of bending operations.
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective equipment (such as face-shield, gloves etc.).
