About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Fitness Director to lead and oversee all elements of our fitness programs and operations. The Fitness Director will design and evaluate fitness initiatives, manage a results-oriented team, and ensure the successful implementation of the organization’s fitness development program, all in alignment with the company’s objectives in the sports clubs sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for the fitness department in alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Identify emerging fitness trends and industry innovations relevant to the Saudi Arabian market.
  • Conduct market feasibility studies to assess customer preferences and enable the development of fitness initiatives to attract and retain a diverse membership base.
  • Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive range of fitness programs, classes, and services.
  • Establish standardized processes and standards for fitness assessments and consultations.
  • Collaborate with trainers, instructors, and staff to develop new programs and improve existing ones.
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate fitness staff, including trainers and instructors.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and personal growth.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the fitness department, including scheduling, equipment maintenance, inventory management, and facility cleanliness.
  • Develop and monitor the fitness department budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
  • Identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure exceptional customer service through the fitness team and establish a customer feedback loop.
  • Implement systems for collecting and analyzing member feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Utilize data analytics and corrective action activities to address member feedback and concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing Department to coordinate fitness-related programs, events, and promotions.
  • Establish and enhance procedures, standards, and measurement controls for fitness trainers.
  • Implement monitoring protocols and dashboards to ensure adherence to procedures and standards.
  • Conduct regular service assessments, audits, and reviews for quality assurance.
  • Perform any other job-related tasks as required by the direct manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10–12 years’ experience in the fitness industry in a managerial position.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Group Fitness Instructor, or Fitness Director certification.
  • Proven experience in managing fitness programs and staff within a fitness facility or organization.
  • Strong knowledge of fitness industry trends, exercise principles, and program design.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with members, clients, and staff.
  • Proficiency in developing procedures, standards, and measurement controls to ensure service quality.
