Job Description - First Time Compliance (FTC) and Typhoon Technical Procedure Specialist (TTPS) (00133330)

Job Purpose

BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudisation and the training and development of Saudi National capability through the growth of the Saudi National Partner Companies thereby reinforcing Industrialisation and Partnerships. The purpose of this role is to be responsible for the day-to-day administration of First Time Compliance (FTC) and Typhoon Technical Procedure (TTP) within the Technical Publications and Instructions Section of the Typhoon Support Centre (TSC) at Taif, KSA. You will facilitate the issuing, management and completion of FTC of RSAF Typhoon Technical Instructions. Record all applicable amendments that may have been suggested by the maintenance organisation completing the FTC, in conjunction with the Typhoon Technical Support team. Produce final Technical Instructions ready for issue, while maintaining robust document records for ongoing and completed FTCs. You will ensure effective control of all digital copies of issued TTP and conduct TTP annual reviews, including amendment requests and be responsible for the maintenance of all TTP document records for the RSAF Typhoon fleet in KSA. Interfacing directly with the RSAF and PC at appropriate levels, helping their understanding of the FTC and TTP administration requirements and priorities, whilst assisting with the development of RSAF expertise in FTC and TTP administration.

Job Accountabilities
  • Ensuring effective control of digital copies of issued TTP and be responsible for the maintenance of all TTP document records for the RSAF Typhoon fleet in KSA.
  • Providing proactive support to conduct annual reviews of TTP and process TTP amendment requests.
  • Ensuring effective control of issued FTCs and being responsible for the maintenance of all FTC document records for the RSAF Typhoon fleet in KSA.
  • Developing and maintaining TSC Processes and Procedures relating to the administration and processing of FTC and TTPs, ensuring robust traceability is available for annual review and auditing activities.
  • Generating and maintaining status reports relevant to FTC and TTP tasks as required.
  • Providing a focal point for the issuing, completion and post completion actions of FTCs and TTPs. Ensuring any requirements or additions raised within the FTC are reviewed and if necessary included into the Technical Instruction when issued.
  • Undertaking any additional, reasonable, tasks as may from time to time be requested by TSC and RSAF management.
  • Assisting with the provision of structured On-the-Job training for RSAF and/or Saudi National staff, in form of training, coaching, work experience and mentoring as appropriate to your role.
Recruitment Specification
  • Qualified to HNC, or equivalent, in an Aeronautical engineering discipline, with extensive proven experience in an aircraft support/maintenance management role, preferably with Typhoon systems knowledge.
  • Familiar with document generation and records control administration principles and practices in the English language, including the requirements for continuing airworthiness management.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Adobe (pdf) suit of programmes is required.
Recruitment
  • Ideally working within the RAF/RSAF Typhoon program, to ensure familiarity with Typhoon requirements and maintenance management systems.
  • Candidates from a non-Typhoon background with relevant experience gained on other platforms will be considered where-by additional training can be provided.
