Job description

The Financial Controller Manager is the custodian of financial integrity, control, and compliance across the group and its subsidiaries. This role ensures that all financial reporting, internal controls, and statutory obligations are accurate, complete, and fully compliant with IFRS (KSA), Zakat, VAT, and other regulatory requirements.

Area of Responsibility:

  • Establish, enforce, and continuously enhance the financial control framework across all finance processes.
  • Ensure effective segregation of duties, delegated authorities, and approval limits, with oversight of compliance.
  • Own and approve financial policies, accounting manuals, and control documentation.
  • Exercise final authority on IFRS interpretation and accounting treatments, including complex or judgmental matters.
  • Ensure balance sheet integrity, completeness, and substantiation at all reporting periods.
  • Provide leadership and final review over statutory financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS as adopted in KSA.
  • Approve month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close outputs.
  • Ensure consistent application of accounting policies across all entities and business units.
  • Sign off on financial statements prior to submission to the GCFO, Audit Committee, or Board.
  • Lead and manage the Accounting Operations Manager, providing direction, priorities, and performance oversight.
  • Oversee accounting functions including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Inventory, and Payroll accounting.
  • Ensure that accounting operations deliver accurate, timely, and compliant outputs in line with defined standards.
  • Review and approve material journal entries, reconciliations, estimates, and provisions prepared by the operations team.
  • Act as the accountable owner for Zakat, VAT, withholding tax, and all ZATCA-related compliance.
  • Review and approve tax filings, assessments, and provisions.
  • Lead interactions with ZATCA and tax advisors, ensuring appropriate responses and resolutions.
  • Ensure accurate tax disclosures within statutory financial statements.
  • Own the cost accounting framework for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Approve standard costing methodologies, variance analysis, and inventory valuation policies.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and regulatory expectations for pharmaceutical inventory, including obsolescence and expiry provisions.
  • Provide oversight to ensure cost data supports sound operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for external audits, internal audits, and regulatory reviews.
  • Review audit findings, assess financial and control risks, and ensure timely remediation.
  • Report material control matters, audit outcomes, and risks to Senior Management and the Audit Committee.
  • Maintain continuous audit readiness and strong documentation standards.
  • Build and sustain a strong controllership culture focused on discipline, accuracy, and accountability.
  • Mentor and develop the Accounting Operations Manager and broader finance team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, systems, and controls, including ERP optimization.
  • Support GCFO-led initiatives such as business expansion, integrations, or governance enhancements.
  • Educational Qualification:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CA, SOCPA) strongly preferred.

    Work Experience:

    • 8-10 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within Healthcare, Pharma, FMCG, or Manufacturing.
