Qualifications

Job description

Job Title: Financial Controller

About the Company

Khair Mithaq Holding is a Saudi holding company with diversified investments across multiple sectors. The Group is enhancing its finance and governance frameworks and is seeking a Financial Controller to lead the financial control, reporting, and compliance function at the holding and subsidiaries level.

Job Summary

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting for the Group. This role ensures strong internal controls, compliance with IFRS and Saudi regulations, and provides reliable financial information to support decision-making by senior management and the Board.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial control and reporting function at the holding company and oversee consolidation of subsidiaries.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of the general ledger and all financial records.
  • Oversee group consolidation, intercompany reconciliations, and elimination entries.
  • Design, implement, and monitor internal controls, financial policies, and procedures across the Group.
  • Review and validate trial balances, journal entries, accruals, provisions, and adjustments.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Zakat and tax regulations and support the filing process in coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.
  • Coordinate with external and internal auditors, manage audit requirements, and follow up on audit findings and corrective actions.
  • Work closely with the CFO on governance, financial risk management, and control environment improvements.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by ensuring data accuracy and control over assumptions and inputs.
  • Review and monitor cash flow, working capital, and balance sheet items from a control perspective.
  • Develop and maintain a chart of accounts and reporting structure suitable for a multi-company holding environment.
  • Supervise and mentor the finance control team, ensuring proper segregation of duties and continuous development of staff.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, SOCPA, CMA, or ACCA is a strong plus).
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3–5 years in a Financial Controller / financial reporting / audit role, preferably in a holding/group or multi-company environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and Saudi Zakat and tax regulations.
  • Previous experience with external audit (Big 4 or similar) is an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP systems and strong proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and high standards of accuracy and integrity.
  • Proven experience in internal controls, policies, and financial governance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and good command of English (spoken and written).
  • Preference will be given to Saudi nationals.
