Job Overview

The Field Engineer III- Digital Solutions Services will play a key role in delivering high-quality field operations across a range of Weatherford Automation products and services. Depending on experience level, the role involves applying established engineering techniques and procedures to support service delivery, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure operational excellence at the well site.

Intermediate and senior-level engineers act as the primary interface with clients, oversee on‑site operations. The position requires a strong commitment to safety, service quality, and customer satisfaction while maintaining compliance with Weatherford’s HSE and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility in all operations.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and incident reporting.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for safe work practices on-site.
  • Ensure service quality is maintained at all times and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, commissioning and pre-job inspections.
  • Execute job planning, tool preparation, and job reporting in accordance with company procedures.
  • Record and submit all operational and job-related data accurately and promptly.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis for equipment or service failures and drive corrective actions.
  • Monitor and analyze operational data to recommend technical solutions and service improvements.
  • Manage well site inventory, tools, and consumables efficiently.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  • Lead or mentor field crews where applicable and ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Be available for 24‑hour on‑call support to respond to customer needs.
  • Manage expenses within approved budgets and ensure timely processing in line with company policy.
  • Contribute to cost control through efficient resource utilization and proactive maintenance practices.
  • Strong understanding of automation, mechanics, electronics, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Proficiency in mathematics, physics, and computer applications.
  • Ability to perform critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making in field conditions.
