About The International Programs School (IPS)

The International Programs School (IPS) in Al Khobar, established in 2000 with just 19 students, has grown significantly and now serves over 1,443 students from more than 53 different nationalities. As a dynamic and gender‑segregated international school in Saudi Arabia, IPS provides a North American curriculum and is accredited by the Middle States Association (MSA), in addition to being authorized by the Saudi Ministry of Education.

IPS boasts a diverse faculty that includes certified teachers from English‑speaking countries alongside Saudi and Arabic educators from the region. Duties
  1. Promote and model the Mission, Beliefs, and Graduate Profile of IPS
  2. Work with the relevant administrator to develop appropriate learning objectives for the class, taking into account the school's course of study and the assessed needs of the student.
  3. Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and constructive relationship with students, parents, and colleagues.
  4. Plan appropriate learning experiences for individual, group, and class instruction.
  5. Work with colleagues and the Curriculum Coordinator in the development of plans.
  6. Monitor student progress and evaluate their achievements in relation to the learning objectives.
  7. Report on individual student progress to parents and the school through report cards and/or conferences.
  8. Create a functional, safe, attractive, and physically comfortable environment for learning.
  9. Maintain professional competence through participation in professional development programs.
  10. Performs basic accounting, record keeping, and clerical services as assigned.
  11. Assist in the selection and requisition of books, instructional aids, and supplies.
  12. Establish and maintain acceptable standards of student behavior.
  13. Administer any school testing program required by the administration.
  14. Participate in curriculum development, program planning, school evaluation processes, and other faculty committees as required by the school administration.
  15. Share in the sponsorship of student activities and accept responsibility for extracurricular activities and after‑school clubs.
  16. Work with teacher assistants, colleagues, and ancillary staff in matters of mutual concern.
  17. Participate with the administration to develop a continuous improvement plan for the teacher and school.
  18. Attend and participate in all faculty meetings, general student assemblies, and evening and weekend programs as appr.
  19. Be available to accommodate parents and students seeking after‑school appointments. Attend all parent conferences.
Requirements
  1. Minimum Bachelor's degree with a major related to the subject being taught. Online degrees are not accepted.
  2. Valid teaching certificate.
  3. Candidate with IB, DP, and PYP experience and certificate required for IB positions.
  4. A minimum of five years of experience in international schools is preferred.
  5. Maximum age of 45.
