Job Purpose

The Facility Management Senior Specialist is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operational functions of the organization’s facilities and supporting the Maintenance Operation Senior Manager. This role ensures compliance with health, safety, and security standards, manages day-to-day facility operations, and contributes to the efficient and cost-effective management of the organization’s facilities. The Senior Specialist ensures that all facilities meet operational needs, adhere to safety regulations, and are maintained in optimal condition.

Key Activities, Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Facility Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily operations and maintenance activities across all club facilities to ensure functionality, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance schedules in coordination with contractors and service providers.
  • Monitor facility performance metrics (utilities, HVAC, cleaning, waste management, etc.) and implement improvements to reduce downtime and costs.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to ensure maintenance quality, safety compliance, and service readiness.

Health, Safety, and Security Oversight:

  • Ensure all facilities comply with occupational health, safety, and security standards in alignment with Saudi regulations.
  • Conduct periodic risk assessments and recommend corrective or preventive actions to mitigate hazards.
  • Coordinate with the Safety and Security teams to maintain emergency preparedness, evacuation plans, and fire protection systems.
  • Promote safety awareness and support training sessions for staff and service providers.
  • Oversee inspection and maintenance of fire-fighting, alarm, and CCTV systems.

Contractor and Service Provider Management:

  • Manage relationships with facility maintenance contractors, cleaning providers, and other service vendors.
  • Review and verify service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure performance quality, response times, and contractual compliance.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and prepare recommendations for contract renewals or changes.
  • Ensure all outsourced staff comply with club policies and HSE standards.

Maintenance Support & Resource Planning:

  • Support the Maintenance Operation Senior Manager in planning maintenance budgets and optimizing resource allocation.
  • Monitor spare parts availability and ensure procurement requests are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the development of maintenance and facility improvement projects.
  • Prepare cost control reports and contribute to energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, safety incidents, and contractor reports.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly facility management reports for the Maintenance Operation Senior Manager.
  • Track compliance with corrective actions and ensure closure of pending issues.
  • Support data collection for facility audits and management reviews.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Collaborate closely with internal departments (Operations, Procurement, Security, HR) to ensure all facility needs are met.
  • Liaise with government and regulatory bodies for permits, inspections, and compliance certification when required.
  • Support event and matchday operations by ensuring facility readiness and coordination with other divisions.
