Qiddiya Investment Company is at the forefront of developing a world-class entertainment and leisure destination in Saudi Arabia. We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Executive Director of Destination Development. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall planning, development, and execution of destination initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the product marketing development division of the Play Qiddiya City DMO.
- Understand customers’ needs, translating market insights into actionable product development initiatives and plans.
- Create, manage, and oversee the destination product development, working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including travel trade teams and DMCs, to develop city packages.
- Develop a customer-centric program of hosted events and experiences to attract national and international audiences and engage visitors and residents, working closely with the VP of Events.
- Develop, maintain, and oversee relationships with a wide range of partners, associations, and key stakeholders within and outside the DMO, including quality assurance, responsible tourism, community management, hospitality, customer service, and infrastructure.
- Ensure alignment between destination development and all key DMO departments and stakeholders, including organizing familiarization trips for all departments.
- Support regional and global economic development and investment in the visitor economy within Qiddiya City.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Marketing; Master’s Degree in Marketing or a related field, preferably with knowledge of the tourism industry.
- A minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience in destination development, real estate, or a related industry, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills, with the ability to drive large-scale initiatives.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and navigate development challenges.
- Deep understanding of market trends, competitive dynamics, and best practices in destination development.
- Experience managing multicultural teams and fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholders.
