Job description
Overview

The EWS Technician Senior will be responsible for operations and maintenance of Electronic Warfare and radar systems. The EWS Technician Senior will perform on-the-job training on location and train junior staff as required.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with all Aviation, Safety, Quality and Export Control Regulations and Procedures
  • Comply with all Airbus Helicopters Management Systems, Policies and Regulations
  • Operate and maintain the Electronic Warfare Operational Support (EWOS)
  • Advise customer on current and future electronic warfare capabilities
  • Train customer personnel and provide on-the-job training on EWS
  • Work as part of a team; specific duties include satisfactory performance of both scheduled and unscheduled tasks within a customer environment
  • Undertake individually or as part of a team EW / radar maintenance, repair and inspection tasks, quality checks and the completion of documentation in accordance with Company and Customer procedures
  • Check tools/GSE prior to maintenance activities for condition and expiration date, and ensure their correct use
  • Perform electrical assembly and integration
  • Perform first level Quality inspection and functional tests of EW / radar system
  • Analyze performance and isolate malfunctions of integrated avionic instruments and flight control systems
  • Conduct factory and onsite acceptance tests
  • Ensure that all work performed is recorded on the appropriate paperwork and signed for on a progressive basis
  • Perform duties as assigned by the Site Manager, ensuring that all work is completed in a timely fashion and meets the delivery quality requirements of Airbus
  • Conduct on-the-job training activity
  • Guide junior technicians as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
