Job summary

ExeQut is seeking an ETL Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines for analytics and data platforms. You will own end-to-end ETL processes—from extraction strategies to transformation logic—working in a big data stack and collaborating with business teams to translate requirements into pipelines.

Role includes international projects, including Saudi Arabia, with English as the primary language for documentation, progress updates, and client-facing presentations.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hands-on ETL or data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL, including complex queries and query optimization.
• Programming in at least one of Python, Java, or Shell, with working knowledge of the others.
• Experience with Hive and an understanding of data warehouse layering (ODS, DWD, DWS, ADS).
• Exposure to Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka in a production or project setting.
• Professional English, written and spoken - you'll write technical documentation and present solutions to clients.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, optimize, and maintain the full ETL lifecycle.
• Define data extraction strategies, cleansing rules, and transformation logic from business requirements.
• Write complex SQL for querying, statistical analysis, and query optimization to improve processing efficiency.
• Build and automate ETL workflows in Python, Java, and Shell.
• Contribute to the design, modeling, and maintenance of Hive-based data warehouses, applying layering concepts (ODS, DWD, DWS, ADS) and optimizing storage structures.
• Integrate and maintain Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and related big data technologies within ETL workflows.
• Monitor ETL jobs, configure alerts, troubleshoot failures, and resolve data latency and consistency issues.
• Establish and continuously improve ETL operations and maintenance standards.
• Partner with business teams on requirement analysis, solution design, implementation, data validation, and data quality initiatives.
• Keep current with new tools and techniques and bring them into the pipeline.

Job Description

ExeQut is looking for ETL Engineer to build and maintain the data pipelines behind our analytics and data platform work. You'll own ETL workflows end to end - extraction strategy through transformation logic, monitoring, and optimization - working in a big data stack and collaborating directly with business teams to turn requirements into working pipelines. This role includes delivery on international projects, including in Saudi Arabia, with English as the primary working language for documentation, progress updates, and client-facing solution presentations.

• Based in or willing to relocate to Saudi Arabia
