Job Summary
The Estimation Manager is responsible for leading and managing the entire cost estimation, tendering, and proposal development process for electrical, civil, and construction projects. This role ensures accurate, competitive, and compliant bids are prepared in accordance with company standards and client requirements. The Estimation Manager will supervise a team of estimators, coordinate with internal departments, and support business development efforts to secure new projects in KSA.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and finalize detailed cost estimates for electrical, civil, and construction projects.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine scope and requirements.
- Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare BOQs as needed.
- Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
- Develop cost breakdowns, pricing strategies, and risk assessments.
- Manage the full tendering process—from tender review to final submission.
- Ensure all tenders are prepared in compliance with client requirements and project specifications.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, and project teams to gather necessary inputs.
- Track tender deadlines, clarifications, addendums, and client communications.
- Lead and supervise a team of estimators and quantity surveyors.
- Provide training, guidance, and development to improve team performance and accuracy.
- Assign workloads and ensure timely delivery of tender documents.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors in KSA.
- Collect, validate, and negotiate quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
- Maintain an updated database of suppliers, subcontractors, and price lists.
- Provide management with accurate estimation summaries, tender status, and cost analyses.
- Participate in strategic bid/no-bid decisions.
- Support business development in identifying market opportunities and pricing trends.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of local codes, regulations, materials, and pricing trends in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Leadership experience is highly preferred.
- Technical Understanding (Electrical & Civil)
- Market Knowledge (KSA)
- Experience with mega‑projects and government tenders in KSA (NEOM, Aramco, SEC, Royal Commission).
- Arabic language skills (preferred but not required).
- Certification in project management or cost estimation is a plus.
