Implement and maintain the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework within the procurement function, ensuring alignment with project and Ma’aden standards.
Identify, assess, and prioritize procurement-related risks, including supplier performance, commercial exposure, market volatility, logistics, and compliance issues.
Develop and monitor mitigation plans for high-impact risks and ensure continuous follow-up with stakeholders.
Work closely with Category Managers, Buyers, and Contract Administrators to integrate risk considerations into sourcing, tendering, and contract execution.
Conduct risk reviews and supplier due diligence to ensure vendors meet financial, technical, and compliance requirements.
Coordinate with the Project Risk Management team to ensure procurement risks are accurately captured, tracked, and reported in the project risk register.
Provide regular updates and analytical reports on procurement risk status, trends, and key exposures.
Support the development and implementation of contingency plans for critical supply chain risks.
Conduct training and awareness sessions to promote a risk management culture within the procurement team.
Ensure compliance with Ma’aden’s governance, HSE, and ethical standards in all procurement-related activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Experience in procurement or supply chain management, in a risk management or ERM-focused role.
Strong understanding of procurement processes, contract management, and supplier governance within large-scale industrial or mining projects.
Experience working in EPC or PMC environments preferred.
Knowledge of ISO 31000 Risk Management standards and relevant risk assessment methodologies.
