Job summary

A leading safety and emergency response firm is seeking an experienced Emergency Response Team Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for developing rescue guidelines, training firefighting teams, and ensuring effective emergency response practices. Ideal candidates should have extensive fire brigade experience and hold an engineering degree. This role is based in Jubail, Saudi Arabia, with a 12-month renewable contract and a 5-6 days work scheme.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of professional experience in fire brigades.
  • 10+ years in a similar position.
  • Experience and certification as an emergency response manager or specialist.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed guidelines for rescue operations.
  • Present guidelines to the Emergency Response Team Leader.
  • Review and approve intervention and rescue plans.
  • Train firefighting and rescue teams.
  • Participate in drills and evaluate the Emergency Response Team.

Overview

We are looking for an Emergency Response Team Engineer - HSE with the following details :

Location : Jubail, Saudi Arabia

Duration : 12 months (renewable)

Start Date : ASAP

Work scheme : 5-6 days a week / 10 hours a day

Qualifications & Experience Required
  • Professional Experience (years): 10-15 years - fire brigades (French marin pompiers)
  • Experience in similar position (years): 10+ years at same or equivalent position
  • Level / Diploma: Engineer, or equivalent
  • Languages: English fluent
  • Experience and certification as an emergency response manager or specialist
Responsibilities
  • Developing Rescue Guidelines: Create detailed guidelines for rescue operations in various contexts, including high elevations without access, high elevations with access, confined spaces inside vertical columns, and confined spaces inside horizontal columns etc.
  • Presenting and explaining Guidelines: Present the developed guidelines to the Contractor Emergency Response Team (ERT) Leader.
  • Accompany CTRs for the preparation of Intervention & Rescue Plans.
  • Reviewing and approving all CTRs intervention & rescue Plans.
  • Support project ERT team to train firefighting team, rescue teams.
  • Attending and assessing Drills: Participate in drills with the contractors to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of their Emergency Response Team (ERT) and Emergency Command Center. He will prepare some scenarios when he considers it necessary to test the emergency organization at both levels.
  • Audit ERT material from CTRs
  • Reviewing the emergency Response Plans for each CTRs: Evaluate the emergency response plans, personnel, and equipment of each contractor across eight packages. Identify any gaps and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Update Project Emergency Response Plan if needed following exercises, project organization modification
