Job description

Eram Talent is on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining electrical systems for various projects. You will work collaboratively with engineering teams to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance are met in all aspects of electrical engineering. The Electrical Engineer supports the Senior MEP Engineer in managing the maintenance and performance of all medium and low-voltage power distribution systems within the Primary Nursery Facility at the client location. This includes electrical substations, switchgear, distribution boards, emergency generators, UPS, lighting, and general power infrastructure. The role is responsible for supervising the execution of preventive, reactive and corrective maintenance activities carried out by the service provider, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, technical standards, and contractual KPIs. The Electrical Engineer supports maintenance planning, monitors spare parts consumption, oversees electrical testing and commissioning activities, and ensures system reliability and energy efficiency across the facility. Collaboration with other engineering disciplines, particularly the Low Current and Mechanical teams, is essential to maintaining safe and seamless MEP operations

Responsibilities
  • Support the Senior MEP Engineer in overseeing the maintenance of electrical systems, including medium and low voltage power distribution systems, electrical substations, switchgear, distribution boards, emergency generators, UPS, lighting, and general power infrastructure, ensuring compliance with established KPIs and industry standards.
  • Ensure proper execution and monitor preventive, corrective, and reactive maintenance activities for electrical systems in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and approved maintenance plans.
  • Supervise and guide service provider teams to ensure safe and high-quality service delivery, with strict adherence to electrical safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of electrical maintenance programs, including reviewing maintenance checklists and task frequency.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of electrical assets to verify operational reliability, performance efficiency, and compliance with Quality Assurance and Quality Control standards.
  • Evaluate the competency and performance of service provider staff in electrical maintenance tasks; identify skill gaps and recommend relevant training or development actions to the Senior MEP Engineer.
  • Monitor spare parts usage for electrical systems and contribute to forecasting and inventory control to ensure the availability of critical components.
  • Participate in asset condition assessments and support the Senior MEP Engineer in planning for electrical infrastructure upgrades, replacements, and long-term modernization strategies.
  • Assist in reviewing and preparing technical documentation, including inspection reports, work completion certificates, method statements, and testing & commissioning records.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of major electrical system failures, ensuring timely resolution and corrective actions.
  • Participate in commissioning and handover processes for new electrical installations; raise and track the resolution of EIL items.
  • Promote and enforce electrical safety practices in all maintenance activities; actively participate in internal and external HSE audits and implement corrective measures where necessary.
  • Contribute to the implementation of maintenance procedures, operational standards, and best practices that enhance electrical system performance and energy efficiency.
  • Provide input during design reviews and scope development for projects involving electrical systems under the Senior MEP Engineer's area of responsibility.
  • Support the identification and safe decommissioning or removal of outdated, redundant, or non-compliant electrical assets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior MEP Engineer, including coordination with contractors, internal departments, and stakeholders as required.
