A large engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Specialist for a major refinery project in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will ensure the safe execution of pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, with a focus on transformers and switchgear. This role involves coordination with various project teams and supervision of electrical operations after high voltage energization. The contract is for 12 months, with potential extensions.
We are recruiting an Electrical Commissioning Specialist for a large refinery commissioning project in Saudi Arabia.
This role must have an experience in pre-comm and commissioning of Transformers, switch gears/MCC and cathodic protection etc.
The basic function of the Electrical Commissioning Specialist is to ensure that all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical disciplines are prepared and executed according to OPERCOM® methodology in a safe manner and according to the planned schedule. This role is crucial for the smooth coordination of various project entities, including the Interface department, Integration team, and Project Services.
The main accountabilities of the position include prioritizing Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) for all electrical personnel, coordinating and approving quality and completeness of deliverables, assisting Commissioning Unit leaders in witnessing and monitoring pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, and reviewing pre-commissioning dossiers and attached preliminary checks. The specialist is also responsible for supervising the management and operation of switchgears and switchboards manipulations performed by EPCC Contractors after energization of high voltage networks within the electrical substation for commissioning tests together with the Proponent Electrical team.
Contract duration: 12 months (with extensions possible)
