Could you be the full-time onsite EHS Engineer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive EHS expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and resourceful teammates. You\u2019ll contribute significantly to creating a safe and healthy work environment for our people and subcontractors in Riyadh, KSA. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Operations, Site Management), ensuring environmental and occupational health and safety performance aligns with Alstom standards and much more.
- Supporting Site Management in achieving Health and Safety results
- Cooperating with internal resources to achieve Health and Safety objectives
- Supporting the EHS Site Manager on EHS Risk Assessment and controlling risks
- Assisting in the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of emergency plans
- Coordinating and controlling activities with respect to Health and Safety, especially where interfaces with other contractors or operation areas are involved
- Providing support and advice to site personnel to prevent injury, damage to plant and equipment, and ensuring environmental protection
- Recognizing best practices and good performance, and issuing warnings for infractions involving violations of regulations and Alstom Standards
- Advising site personnel on all aspects of Health and Safety applicable to site activities
- Developing the Site EHS Management System in alignment with Alstom Standards and international standards
- Capturing, reporting, recording, investigating, and analyzing accidents / incidents to take corrective and preventive actions
All about you

- Degree in Engineering or a related field,
- Experience or understanding of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) practices and regulations
- Knowledge of risk assessment and auditing processes,
- Familiarity with international HSE standards such as IOSH, ISO 45001, OSHA, etc.
- A Health & Safety qualification recognized by the enforcing authorities in the country of operation
- Strong leadership and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in an international and multidisciplinary team
- Technical skills for reporting, such as proficiency in Microsoft Applications
- Working knowledge of local languages; proficiency in English or French is advantageous
- Experience in the railway sector is a plus
