Job description

The Finance Analyst will work closely with the finance team and will be primarily responsible for the preparation of financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and preparing the calculation of tax payments and returns. The role aims to provide accurate quantitative information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flows of our business, while ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.

This is a hands-on role, and your responsibilities will include:

• Managing accounting transactions, balance sheets, and profit/loss statements.
• Handling closings and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
• Computing taxes, preparing tax returns, and auditing financial documents.
• Ensuring timely bank payments and maintaining financial data confidentiality.
• Preparing financial statements and analyzing key performance indicators.
• Conducting variance analysis and assisting in budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborating with teams to refine reporting and optimize gross margin.
• Enhancing data accuracy and dashboard reporting.
• Organizing finance meetings and tracking key initiatives.
• Staying informed about emerging business opportunities.

What we're looking for:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within the fintech or finance sector.
• Experience dealing with internal and external auditors for annual audits.
• Experience with accounting software Dynamics 365 Business Central would be a significant advantage.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures; experience in a regulated company is preferred.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
• Experience with general ledger functions.
• Strong business communication skills, both written and verbal; proficiency in Arabic is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is a plus.
