Job description

  • Responsible for managing the overall delivery of the Construction Packages in several sites of the project.
  • Managing and overseeing the executing construction-related parts of the project within time, budgetary and design specific constraints
  • Functioning as project manager for construction activities; including leading the management, scheduling, coordination, monitoring and execution of infrastructure and building construction projects
  • Providing strategic oversight and direction to the on-site technical, multi-disciplined construction staff responsible for site supervision
  • Leading the construction teams through site mobilization, execution, and demobilization activities to ensure the orderly, efficient, and timely completion of the project scope in accordance with contractual requirements
  • Leading the Construction inspection and oversight teams to correctly evaluate contractor activities addressing construction methodology, project quality plans, safety plans, schedules and compliance with contractual requirements
  • Representing the team at coordination meetings with the client and liaising with various project entities, third parties and stakeholders
  • Overseeing, developing and streamlining operational processing and procedures related to construction, review and approving contractor‘s work execution plan
  • Providing constructability reviews of plans and specifications to evaluate scheduled activities and staffing requirements for each phase of construction, and coordinating the availability of requisite equipment
  • Coordinating the preparation of various schedule projections for construction activities as per contract requirements and coordinating its integration with the Master Schedule with the Project Controls Team
  • Actively leading the coordination and review of construction progress presented by contractors and presenting to the senior leadership team, commenting on non-compliance, areas of concern and corrective actions
  • Working with contractors with suggestions to optimize the sequencing of activities to mitigate schedule slips
  • Initiating or escalating the correction of any conditions which may adversely affect the completion of the project on schedule and within budget
  • Working with the QA / QC team when overseeing quality control throughout all construction phases of the assigned package
  • Working with the HSE Team to ensure Contractors compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Plans, and regulatory requirements applicable to the Project. Reporting any relevant issues and assisting in the development and implementation of required corrective actions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field

Minimum 18 years of experience in infrastructure projects (Roads, Utility, Infrastructure)
