Job Description
The Early Career Training is a 6‑month program extendable to one year, and it is an investment in young talents where GE Vernova trains fresh graduates who meet the required criteria to perform their traineeship in a GE Vernova business. The traineeship duration varies upon business requirement and will develop the general skills of the trainee and provide on‑the‑job knowledge and technical experience. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures.
What you’ll do:
Project Finance Execution and Excellence
- To work with PFCs and PMs on all financial issues on the project after tender (ITO) phase, i.e. from contract award to TOC or contract close.
- To work with PFCs, PCCs & other stakeholders of the project to review, monitor and control the costs to achieve a good level of finance performance.
- Review, track and ensure the timely & US GAAP compliant revenue recognition supported by proper documentation.
- Work with PFCs to ensure full compliance with contract T&C including billing and collection (LC, payment against documents).
- Work on the margin review calculations to enable OTR finance to work with Project Managers to optimize the performance of the contracts.
- Execute project accounting within ERPs per the global standards set by the business.
Operations Excellence
- Maintain strong connection with all functions of operations to understand the dynamics of our projects and translate into financial output, and communicate to Operations team and broader finance community.
- Support operations to analyze and present the data related to outstanding bonds and its retrieval and reduction from the customers.
- To work with operations for the pacing of sales, margin, billing and cash of the project under the supervision of Lead PFCs.
- Actively participate in contract handover reviews from Inquiry to Order (ITO), to Order to Remittance (OTR) i.e., T&C clarifications, project setup, payment security, hedging evaluation, etc. in collaboration with Lead PFC of the project.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's in finance, Accounting or Business Administration.
- Analytical & strong communication skills.
- Self‑driven, attentive to details, outcome oriented, good working attitude.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness and ability to work full‑time for 6 months period.
- Fluency in English.
