Job Purpose:

To oversee the accounts payable function and lead a small team in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant processing of supplier payments. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders, enforcing financial controls, and supporting audit and reporting functions to ensure smooth financial operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a small team of Accounts Payable (AP) accountants.
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies related to accounts payable, supplier invoice reconciliation, and payment gateway reconciliation.
• Act as the main point of contact for suppliers and subcontractors to address payment status, outstanding statements, missing invoices, and expectations.
• Provide regular updates and reports on outstanding payables to relevant business heads.
• Coordinate timely and accurate payments to suppliers following thorough reconciliation.
• Collaborate closely with the operations team to ensure seamless payment processing.
• Support the preparation and review of MIS and assist in both internal and external audit processes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or audit roles, preferably within a multinational organization.
• Previous experience in the contracting or construction sector is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with SAP is preferred.
