Qualifications

Job description

The Application Specialist will use their healthcare, business, and InterSystems product knowledge to ensure that we contract and implement InterSystems products in a successful, standard, and timely manner. The Application Specialist will become an “expert” in Billing/Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management & Claims resource for customers and will be expected to understand the customer process, assess solution best fit, and advise the customer on how to best implement the standard solution as early as possible. They should advise the customer on driving maximum benefits from the solution, while minimizing customer-specific work, and liaise with various areas of the business accordingly. It is essential to stay updated with new product developments through the normal product release cycle. The Application Specialist must be available to visit customer sites and may be assigned to projects requiring regular travel, with the possibility of spending up to 5 days away from home each week.

The Application Specialist will act in accordance with the latest version of the InterSystems ARIES Customer Engagement Methodology, which will be modified over time as part of our ongoing culture of continuous improvement. The main responsibilities include:

1. Essential Skills and Experience:
2. Excellent communication skills and experience conducting customer training, workshops, and presentations.
3. Strong consultative skills with the ability to articulate and communicate ideas effectively.
4. Experience interacting directly with customers, including clinicians, and confidently delivering messaging.
5. At least 3 years of experience working in healthcare with a good understanding of administrative and/or clinical processes and Billing RCM.
6. Experience implementing software solutions.
7. Contributing to a multi-disciplinary team.
8. Experience with writing functional documents and business process mapping.
9. Knowledge of Information Systems and proficiency in English.
10. University degree.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

1. Experience communicating with key stakeholders at various levels within healthcare organizations, including government/public and private sectors.
2. Experience with EMR systems and exposure to IT services in a customer-facing setting.
3. Previous experience as an Application or Configuration Specialist.
4. Experience with change management and conducting software testing.
