The position will be based at NEOM.

Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of KCRI’s dive centre, ensuring full readiness of staff, vessels, equipment, compressors, CCR units, and all dive‑support systems.
  • Scheduling & Logistics: Develop and manage daily, weekly, and monthly dive schedules, including training dives, scientific missions, operational dives, and safety drills.
  • Safety & Compliance: Act as on‑site Dive Safety Lead, ensuring all diving adheres to KCRI SOPs, international diving safety standards, and NEOM regulatory requirements.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Lead emergency response planning and incident management, maintaining readiness of oxygen units, first‑aid stations, AEDs, and all medical equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance Oversight: Supervise servicing, repairs, and maintenance for all dive equipment, cylinders, compressors, technical/CCR gear, and maintaining compliant servicing records.
  • Inventory & Supplier Management: Maintain accurate inventory systems, equipment logs, and coordinate with external suppliers, service providers, and technical support partners.
  • Project & Monitoring Systems: Manage project trackers, workflows, and monitoring systems to ensure efficient progress tracking, KPI reporting, and visibility of operational timelines and deliverables.
  • Scientific & Restoration Support: Provide specialized dive support for coral restoration activities including collections, nursery work, installations, photogrammetry, and long‑term monitoring.
  • Team Training & Development: Train, mentor, and evaluate dive staff—including instructors, deckhands, and support crew—and coordinate professional development in technical diving, emergency response, and equipment maintenance.

  • Technical diving certifications, including CCR, Trimix, or other advanced technical diving credentials (strongly preferred).
  • Emergency response qualifications, such as Diver Medic Technician (DMT), Diver Medic, or Instructor‑level first aid/oxygen provider certifications (preferred).
  • 6–10 years of experience in dive center management, dive operations leadership, or a senior operational diving role.
  • Proven background in dive center operations, including scheduling, logistics, staff supervision, and safety management.
  • Hands‑on experience in equipment servicing and repair, including compressors, cylinders, CCR units, and technical diving equipment.
  • Demonstrated competence in CCR and technical diving operations, including operational planning, safety protocols, and equipment oversight.
  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and manage multicultural dive teams.
