Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Sales to lead the hotel’s commercial strategy and champion Faena’s vision across global markets. This role provides strategic and operational support to ensure cohesive market positioning, strong revenue performance, and meaningful global partnerships. The Director of Sales guides the team in bringing Faena’s world of art, culture, and transformative hospitality to discerning travelers from around the globe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a sales strategy that reflects Faena’s luxury positioning and supports the EAM – Commercial in achieving long‑term commercial goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities across global markets and strengthen relationships with key travel partners and luxury agencies.
  • Lead, mentor, and support the sales team to drive proactive outreach, performance, and collaboration.
  • Represent the hotel at major international trade shows, roadshows, and luxury travel events.
  • Create tailored proposals, seasonal offers, and partner campaigns that highlight Faena’s unique experiences.
  • Leverage the unique storytelling and destination appeal of Faena to design compelling seasonal offers, immersive cultural experiences, and exclusive partner campaigns.
  • Collaborate closely with Revenue Management and Marketing to develop pricing strategies, promotional initiatives, and tactical campaigns aligned with market demand.
  • Analyze market performance, booking patterns, and geographic trends to adjust strategies in real time and maximize revenue conversion.
  • Ensure brand‑aligned messaging that resonates with sophisticated leisure and corporate travelers and reinforces Faena’s identity.
  • Oversee CRM usage, pipeline development, and accurate sales reporting.
  • Work closely with Rooms, Spa, F&B, and Guest Experience teams to support VIP stays and curated leisure journeys.
  • Ensure all client interactions and sales materials reflect Faena’s cultural identity, creativity, and service excellence.
  • Stay ahead of global luxury travel trends, shifts in consumer behavior, and competitor activities to ensure Faena remains a leader in experiential hospitality.
  • Maintain strong alignment with the General Manager, Executive Committee, and Faena brand teams to ensure consistent delivery of the brand’s artistic, cultural, and service ethos.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive sales leadership experience in luxury or ultra‑luxury hospitality, with proven expertise in leisure, FIT, and high‑net‑worth segments.
  • Deep understanding of global leisure distribution, luxury consortia, and the expectations of sophisticated international travelers.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and performance analytics.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms, hotel sales systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Creative, detail‑oriented, and highly collaborative leader with a passion for guest‑centric sales and storytelling.
  • Strong knowledge of GCC and key international source markets for luxury travel.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages such as Arabic, French, German, or Spanish are an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for roadshows, industry events, and key client engagement.
