Job description

Linum Consult’s client is an established engineering services and consulting company currently seeking a bilingual Arabic- and English-speaking Director of Construction to join their office in Madinah, Saudi Arabia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participating and assisting the municipality in the management and direction of construction projects from conception to completion
• Reviewing the project in-depth to meet schedules and estimated costs
• Overseeing construction activities to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
• Preparing internal and external reports pertaining to project status
• Negotiating terms of agreements, drafting contracts, and obtaining permits and licenses
• Analysing, managing, and mitigating risks
• Participating in setting goals and plans related to safety operations management within the company, ensuring the presence of frameworks and metrics to gauge the level of achievement

PROFILE

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or similar subject, with certifications of CAPM & PMP from the PMI
• 15 years of experience in Construction Management for large infrastructure, public, and municipality projects, with extensive experience in project controls, environment, health and safety, risk management, contracts and procurement, financial management, quality assurance and control
• Demonstrable history of managing multidisciplinary construction teams, including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering
• Technical knowledge of engineering systems, calculations, applications of engineering methods, materials, and applications of computer engineering and computer-aided engineering for solving problems
• Extensive knowledge of industry and regulatory codes and standards, engineering procedures, and design standards
• Excellent spoken and written English and Arabic, with good communication skills
