Responsibilities
- Focusing on the deployment of Electrical Power Monitoring Systems such as Scada / PLC / PME systems / EcoSUI / EPAS GTW / C264 / Different system Architectures - PRP, RSTP
- Customer facing position and work well in a team environment. Will interface directly with contractors and end-users
- Software installation and start-up services, troubleshooting equipment and device communications, and providing customer training for the commissioned system.
- Consulting with customers to determine system operation requirements
- Specifying and purchasing of hardware / software as required by the project
- Installation and upgrading of Schneider systems (PSE, PSO, IONe & PME, EPAS)
- Good understanding of industry standard communication protocols with an emphasis on Modbus, IEC 61850, and BACnet
- Knowledgeable in computer networking architectures, topologies, and hardware
- HMI configuration experience, including graphical screen development
- Direct experience with Schneider Electric proprietary software such as Power Monitoring Expert, Power SCADA Expert and Wonderware
- Configuring and commissioning Schneider Electric and 3rd party hardware
- Performing start-up services and system troubleshooting
- Providing training for commissioned systems
- Documenting the as-built system
- Travel up to 75% to customer sites is required.
- Experience working around electrical equipment such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, etc.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, with emphasis on control systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience related to Electrical Power Monitoring Systems; Systems Integration, and/or Energy Management Systems (design, implementation, and support).
- Knowledge of and ability to interpret contract specifications and electrical drawing packages
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a group setting, team‑oriented, self‑motivated, and results‑driven
- Familiarity with communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, MQTT, DNP3, OPC, etc.).
- Experience with PLCs, RTUs, and other automation systems (Control Expert) with an understanding of control systems and automation hardware (e.g., PLCs, sensors, relays, etc.).
- Experience in EPAS design, configuration, and Test & Commissioning phases
- Familiarity with SQL and database management systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial and building automation processes.
- Strong understanding of network architecture and system integration with knowledge of networking and cybersecurity principles for control systems.
- Taken large and medium complex project in operation in IEC 61850
