Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Dietitian Specialist, you will assess patient nutritional needs by establishing care plans, appropriate therapeutic diets, or nutrition support regimens. You will maintain the professional competencies and skills required for practice.

You will work for a prestigious healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia.

Based in Riyadh, but occasionally traveling throughout Saudi Arabia to provide Concierge Clinical Dietitian Services.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Use Standards of Practice to evaluate patients' nutritional status and prescribe, implement, evaluate (initial and ongoing), and document appropriate nutritional care plans in a timely manner.
  2. Calculate patients’ nutritional needs to determine the optimal nutritional supplement for both oral and tube feeding.
  3. Contribute to an interdisciplinary approach to patient care.
  4. Attend rounds and team conferences to exchange information related to patient care and discharge planning.
  5. Educate patients and their families on appropriate diet modifications and provide educational materials accordingly.
  6. Participate in quality improvement activities to enhance safe and effective nutrition care.
  7. Highlight food-drug interactions and document them for clinical staff and in medical charts.
  8. Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with current developments in clinical nutrition, fulfilling the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties continuing education requirements.
  9. Participate in the education, training, and development of oneself and others, as applicable.
  10. Maintain confidentiality of all patient information and ensure treatment details are handled according to policies and procedures.
  11. Follow all related policies and procedures.
  12. Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's degree (Preferred) or Bachelor's degree (Required) in Clinical Nutrition.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience with a Master's degree or three (3) years with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Current license or certification to practice Clinical Nutrition.
