Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Fire Protection Draftsman to design and draft systems such as fire hydrants, alarms, and sprinklers. The ideal candidate will have a diploma and at least 3 years of experience in designing fire protection systems, proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, and strong knowledge of NFPA codes. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are essential for this role.

Job description

Fire protection Draftsman

Responsibilities :-

• Preparation and composition of Shop drawing sheets and backgrounds to CLIENTS standards for fire protection Field included one of ( Fire Hydrants , Fire Alarm , Fire sprinklers and Fire suppression ) systems .
• Drafting of details and plans for firefighting systems .
• Having knowledge to perform the Calculations for Fire Alarm system , Fire water systems and Fire suppressions or one of this systems .
• Previous experience in SEC , ARAMCO and industrial field are preferred .
• Knowledge to drafting the drawings layout , sections , isometric , preparing the BOQ and providing the shop drawings as per project requirement .
• Compilation and project specific editing of standard note blocks;
• Reviewing and revising drawings for accuracy.
• Review of documents for scope of content and quality assurance
• As-Built field measurements/conversion to CAD drawings
• Having the knowledge to takeoff the BOQ for the drawings for the complete systems component included ( Equipment’s , Bulk .. Etc )

Job requirement :-

• Candidate should have at least Diploma Degree or relevant .
• Proven 3 years’ experience in designing fire protection systems for commercial, residential, or industrial projects .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and, particularly, Revit for design, and knowledge software’s belong to fire protection field ( hydraulic calculations , Voltage droop , …Etc )
• Strong knowledge of NFPA fire codes, standards, and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
