Qualifications

  • Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure design and engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in KSA.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and engineering team across all phases of the infrastructure project.
  • Review and approve design deliverables including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage design change processes and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.

Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Design & Engineering Manager to lead and coordinate the design and engineering aspects of a major infrastructure construction project. The role involves managing multidisciplinary design teams, ensuring compliance with technical standards, and integrating engineering solutions with construction execution plans. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and infrastructure design, with proven leadership and project management skills.

Your role
  • Lead the design and engineering team across all phases of the infrastructure project.
  • Review and approve design deliverables including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design alignment with project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage design change processes and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Support construction teams with engineering inputs and resolve site‑related design queries.
  • Oversee value engineering initiatives to optimize cost and performance.
  • Monitor design progress and ensure timely delivery of engineering outputs.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies related to design and engineering.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and documentation to stakeholders.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in infrastructure design and engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in KSA.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, Revit, and BIM tools.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure systems (roads, bridges, utilities, drainage, etc.).
  • Familiarity with international and local design codes and standards.
Project & Leadership Skills
  • Excellent project management and team leadership abilities.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts effectively.
Certifications (Preferred)
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional accreditation.
