  • Drive standardization and continuous improvement of packaging processes and materials.
  • Oversee packaging specifications, documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Use PackAssistant or equivalent software to simulate and optimize packaging density and logistics efficiency.
  • Benchmark industry best practices and integrate innovative packaging technologies.
  • Support new product launches and engineering changes with robust packaging strategies.
  • Develop and manage packaging budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure packaging solutions meet regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Collaborate with procurement and suppliers to source cost-effective and sustainable materials.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for packaging-related issues in production or logistics.
  • Train and mentor packaging engineers and support staff.
You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 7–10 years of hands-on experience in packaging design and implementation.
  • 2–3 years of experience in automotive logistics operations or in a supervisory/team lead role.

  • Strong understanding of returnable/expendable packaging systems, materials, and testing standards (ASTM, ISTA).
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong engineering background with experience in team coordination and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to align packaging initiatives with broader business goals.
  • Demonstrated success in leading transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
