Responsibilities
- Evaluate current data governance practices and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement data governance frameworks, including policies, procedures, and standards.
- Define data ownership and stewardship roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data governance workflows and processes.
- Conduct data quality assessments and define metrics and KPIs to monitor data quality.
- Design and implement data governance training programs to raise awareness and promote adherence to data governance practices.
- Develop and maintain data catalogues and metadata repositories.
- Identify data security and privacy risks and implement appropriate controls.
- Monitor and enforce data governance policies and procedures.Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on data governance best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data governance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Governance Consultant or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and methodologies.
- Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and policies.
- Knowledge of data quality management practices and metrics.
- Familiarity with data catalogues and metadata management tools.
- Understanding of data security and privacy regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the financial industry is a plus.
