Job description

The Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for protecting the organization’s systems, networks, and data from cyber threats and unauthorized access. This role involves developing and implementing security strategies, conducting regular vulnerability and risk assessments, and applying advanced security controls to maintain a strong defensive posture.

Key responsibilities include continuous monitoring of network and system activity, identifying and investigating suspicious behavior, and responding quickly to security incidents to minimize impact. The specialist will also design and enforce cybersecurity and procedures, support compliance with national and international standards, and promote security awareness across the organization.

The primary goal of this role is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets and to support uninterrupted business operations by reducing cybersecurity risks to the lowest possible level.

Job Requirements : Cyber Security Specialist

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of network security, operating systems, firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention systems, and endpoint protection tools.
• Hands‑on experience with vulnerability assessment, risk analysis, and incident response procedures.
• Familiarity with security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, or equivalent.
• Ability to analyze security logs, detect threats, and perform digital investigations when needed.
• Understanding of cloud security principles and experience with platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
• Relevant professional certifications such as CEH, Security+, CySA+, GSEC, or similar (preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure during security incidents.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to prepare clear technical reports.
