Job summary

A global technical services provider is seeking a Collections Manager in Saudi Arabia to lead the collections department. Candidates should have over 8 years of experience, including 5+ years in a managerial position, and possess strong credit control and analytical skills. Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the collections department.
  • Evaluate creditworthiness of debtors and set credit limits.
  • Monitor aging reports and recommend strategies for NPLs.
  • Develop effective collection policies and procedures.
  • Contact delinquent customers and negotiate payment arrangements.
  • Escalate complex cases and liaise with legal bodies.
  • Maintain records of all collection actions.
  • Ensure compliance with collection laws.
  • Provide regular reports on bad debt and recovery efforts.
  • Train and mentor the collections team.

Your Tasks
  • Oversee daily operations of the collections department, including hiring, training, and managing collectors.
  • Evaluate creditworthiness of debtors and set appropriate credit limits.
  • Monitor aging reports, especially bad and non-performing loans (NPLs), and proactively recommend strategies to prevent further deterioration of accounts.
  • Develop and implement effective collection policies, procedures, and strategies to reduce bad debt.
  • Contact delinquent customers; negotiate payment arrangements and amend repayment terms as necessary.
  • Escalate complex cases, recommend legal action, and liaise with relevant legal bodies for settlements and litigation.
  • Maintain thorough records of all collection actions, communications, and settlement agreements (skip tracing, repossession, charge-offs).
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal collection laws (e.g., Fair Debt Collection Practices Act).
  • Provide regular reports and performance metrics on bad debt and recovery efforts to senior management.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate the collections team to meet collection targets and improve processes.
  • Build relationships with external collection agencies and internal teams (sales, finance) to resolve disputes.
Your Qualifications And Skills
  • Bachelor's / Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent field.
  • 8+ years of total accounting experience with 5 years in managerial position.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Credit Control knowledge.
  • Good Analytical abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of Credit Terms with investigative and analytical skills.
  • Arabic language is preferable.
