Job Title: Cost Manager – Data Center Construction (Charleston, SC)

Arcadis is a leading company delivering sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets. We’re looking for experienced construction Cost Managers to support the construction of data centers nationwide. Cost Managers must be on-site every day.

Role Overview

At Arcadis, we are proud to contribute to the construction of data centers across the United States. As the Data Center Program expands, we seek professionals with deep skills related to design and construction of complex capital projects or data centers.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Project Teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide project‑level reports, including detailed analysis of project cost and changes.
  • Maintain and control budgets from design concept through to project completion.
  • Assist with change management and control of total project costs (general contractors, direct suppliers, and professional appointments).
  • Analyze projects to ensure project funding is adequate by performing estimates, cost forecasts, cost trends, and accrual of actual costs.
  • Develop cost estimates for civil, structural, architectural, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical disciplines.
  • Prepare material, labor, and equipment cost estimates for concept designs, design development documents, bid documents, and change orders.
  • Estimate and negotiate potential change orders.
  • Complete cost validation and quantity surveying on an as‑needed basis.
  • Monitor and audit compliance.
  • Reconcile program and project controls data with client’s fiscal and financial controls systems.
  • Present results of cost analyses to senior staff and clients.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, either with data center construction projects or complex capital construction projects.
  • Strong software skills in Primavera P6, Excel, MS Office, Power BI, etc.
  • Understanding of the construction project process.
  • Ability to engage with the client and key stakeholders at all levels using exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying) or equivalent work experience.
  • Focus on health and safety.
Salary & Benefits

Salary range: $150,000 to $185,000.

Benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401(k), STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program, wellness benefits, adoption assistance, and tuition reimbursement. Full‑time positions receive nine paid holidays and 15 days of PTO that accrue per year.
