Role Overview
The Control Room Senior Technician is responsible for the centralized operation of feed mill machinery to ensure synchronized and efficient production. This role involves managing the production team, coordinating raw material logistics, ensuring quality compliance (ISO/HACCP), and maintaining accurate data records using BAAN software.
Production & Operations Management
- Machinery Control: Operate control room machinery to synchronize production, regulate material flow, and prevent equipment overload.
- Team Supervision: Manage and control the working team to maximize productivity.
- Process Optimization: Coordinate with pellet mill operators for efficient material flow and ensure the "First-In-First-Out" (FIFO) system is used for bin materials.
- Breakdown Management: Identify and report software or machinery malfunctions immediately and coordinate rectifications.
2. Logistics & Coordination
- Raw Materials: Plan daily bulk raw material deliveries, coordinate with transport/purchasing departments, and ensure silos are filled timely to maintain production continuity.
- Inventory: Quantify raw material consumption and feed flow per line.
3. Quality & Compliance
- Standards Adherence: Strictly follow ISO (14001, 9001-2000), HACCP, and SQF standards.
- Formula Verification: Verify feed formulae with the immediate superior and ensure no mixing of different formulations occurs.
- Environment: Maintain adequate temperature in the control room to protect electronic installations.
4. Reporting & Data Entry
- Documentation: Maintain manual daily production records.
- System Entry: Perform data entry regarding consumption and flow into the BAAN system.
