Description

Opened originally in 1983, this 1600-bed flagship National Guard Hospital has continued to expand and develop its services and now offers a highquality ofservice in all medical and surgical specialities including a highly equipped Cardiac Centre, highly specialised transplant, and hepatobiliary services.

The Emergency Care Centre at this hospital continues to be the best Trauma Care Centre in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is ranked as the 4th Emergency Care Centre outside the United States of America, to provide (PHTLS) Pre-Hospital Trauma and Life Support programme.

The complex also houses a specialised children’s hospital, a 600-bed hospital which commenced operations with the opening of the Paediatric Emergency Department and the transfer of 90 patients inclusive of 11 Intensive care critical patientson 19th and 20th April 2015.

Qualifications Required
  • 2 years Consultant experience in a Western hospital
  • 2 years post specialist qualification experience from the following countries:
    • UK – CCT
    • USA – American Board
    • Canada – Canadian Fellowship
    • Ireland – CSD/CSCST
    • Australia & New Zealand (Fellowship)
    • France – DES/DESC/CIS/DIS/French Board
    • Germany - Facharzt with sub speciality board
    • Other European countries according to the qualification equivalence tables of the SCFHS.

  • Bonus: ½ Months’ salary – End of contract
  • Contract duration: 1- or 2-years renewable

  • Education allowance for up to 3 school age children from year 1 to year 9 of SR 23,000 per child per year in or outside of Saudi Arabia.
  • Those in years 10,11,12 receive an additional SR 5,000 per year.
