Job Summary:

In this role, you will administer the development, management, and execution of corporate affairs and communications programs. You will research, write, edit, and maintain content for press releases on Bechtel projects, personnel, technical innovations, new job awards, and other activities. Your coordination of program elements will help drive impactful and strategic communication for Bechtel.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Administers the development, management, and execution of corporate and public affairs and communications programs in support of a project or corporate group
  • Performs research and special assignments as assigned
  • Researches, writes, edits, and maintains content for press releases and articles on Bechtel projects, personnel, technical innovations, new job awards, and other Bechtel activities
  • Coordinates the preparation, clearing, and releasing of information, articles, photographs, and video to newspapers, magazines, and television
  • Researches, writes, edits, and maintains content for stories and articles for a variety of Bechtel publications and websites
  • Independently researches story ideas, conducts interviews with senior management or with persons external to Bechtel, and coordinates the necessary photography in support of the article
  • Supports the communications function, including researching, writing, editing, and maintaining content for face‑to‑face engagement, electronic news, intranet management, and change management activities
  • Supporting stakeholder relations strategies and tactics
  • Coordinates and plans all‑employee meetings, community outreach programs, and other events, including presentations and logistics
  • Collects information and analyzes the impact of the organization’s social responsibility programs and activities on key stakeholders
Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and:
  • Experience driving strategic initiatives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • A creative and dynamic approach to problem‑solving
  • At least 5 years’ experience working in an internal communications team or digital communications team with an internal focus
  • Experience of producing content for multiple channels
  • Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Strong digital skills including SharePoint and other delivery channels
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications – particularly PowerPoint, Word and Viva Suite
  • Arabic speaker preferred but not required
