Job Overview

WISKOTS is seeking a meticulous and experienced Coating Inspector to oversee quality control activities for industrial projects in alignment with Saudi Aramco standards. This role focuses on ensuring compliance with SAES-H and related Aramco specifications, covering surface preparation, coating application, and inspection activities. The Coating Inspector will collaborate closely with project teams to uphold safety, quality, and performance standards.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections of materials, processes, and completed work to ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, including SAES-H-102 and other relevant specifications.
  • Perform quality assessments for surface preparation, coating applications, and environmental conditions using industry‑standard inspection tools and techniques.
  • Verify compliance with project requirements through testing such as dry film thickness (DFT) measurements, adhesion tests, and visual evaluations.
  • Document inspection results and maintain detailed records for submission to clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Review project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and quality plans, to align inspection activities with requirements.
  • Monitor adherence to safety protocols, including confined space entry and equipment handling, as per Saudi Aramco and WISKOTS safety guidelines.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and project teams to address quality‑related issues and provide expert recommendations.
  • Investigate non‑conformances, recommend corrective actions, and ensure follow‑up for resolution.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of all inspection equipment.
  • Support audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for quality assurance processes.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Coating Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality control inspections for industrial projects, preferably with coatings or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards, including SAES-H-102, SAES-H-001, and related specifications, is mandatory.
  • Certifications such as B‑Gas / SSPC PCI‑II (AMPP), and Field Coating Application certification are mandatory.
  • Proficiency in inspection tools and techniques, including dry film thickness gauges, adhesion testers, and environmental monitoring instruments.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 and related Saudi Aramco quality protocols.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Valid KSA driver’s license is preferred.
  • Physical ability to work in confined spaces and challenging field conditions.
