  • Relevant certification required.

Job description
Overview

Job Purpose / Objective :

Provide specialist nutritional care to In- Patients through the process of assessment, planning, implementation, education, counseling or monitoring under the Direction and supervision of the Head/Chief Clinical Nutrition. Assist and participates in the development of protocols and education materials related to Clinical Nutrition. Scientifically plan and calculate all therapeutic diet for in/out patients.

Key Responsibilities / Accountabilities
  • Perform nutritional assessment and reassessments of patients as needed.
  • Plan, prepare, and serve therapeutic diets as per the standards.
  • Develop Nutritional Care Plan.
  • Highlight “Food - Drug interaction” to physician and Document this in the medical record.
  • Make recommendations related to patient dietary needs.
  • Nil Per OS (NPO) monitoring.
  • Educate other health staff, patients and families.
  • Approve all menus including any modified diets.
  • Submit reports to the Chief Clinical Nutrition providing recommendations for better services.
  • Follow all hospital related policies and procedures.
  • Review and update the diet manual.
  • Support the education program and promote the Patient and Family Rights along with providing patient and family education.
  • Inspect food service department and ensures regular and modified / therapeutic diets are being accurately served and CBAHI sand HACCP (Hazard Analytical Critical Control Points) standards are followed by food service employees as per policies and procedures.
  • Participate in person-cantered care initiatives undertaken by HMG.
  • Enrich patient experience with compassion, respect and dignity.
  • Perform other applicable task and duties assigned within the realm of his/her knowledge, skills and abilities.
Education / Professional Qualification
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition or Nutrition and Dietetic.
Experience
  • Two (2) years’ experience in planning regular and therapeutic diets in an accredited hospital of 200 beds or more.
Professional Licensing / Certification / Training
  • Certification: Relevant certification
