Job Summary

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for the oversight and management of contractor activities related to road construction projects. This includes ensuring strict adherence to project designs, specifications, and established standards. The role also requires proactive monitoring of construction progress, effective resolution of technical challenges, and a commitment to ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budgetary constraints.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect contractor activities to ensure adherence to project designs, specifications, and quality standards.
• Monitor construction progress and prepare daily/weekly reports.
• Conduct site inspections to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Review and approve construction drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the project team.
• Assist in the preparation of project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Conduct quality control checks and ensure all materials and workmanship meet project requirements.
• Liaise with clients and consultants to address project-related concerns.

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent (preferred).

Required Skills
