Foreground is partnering with a leading drilling and energy services company in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to appoint a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This senior executive role will provide strategic financial leadership to support long-term growth, regional expansion, and operational resilience.

Overview

The CFO will lead all aspects of financial management, including corporate governance, capital strategy, risk management, and reporting. The position carries responsibility for ensuring financial sustainability while enabling the company to pursue ambitious investment and growth opportunities across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute financial strategy aligned with shareholder expectations and growth targets.
  • Lead financial reporting, treasury, taxation, and consolidation across all operations.
  • Oversee capital raising initiatives including IPO readiness, debt restructuring, and equity partnerships.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures with financial modeling and valuation expertise.
  • Implement ERP and BI tools to enhance reporting, transparency, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, Zakat, and Saudi fiscal regulations.
  • Partner with the CEO and Board on corporate growth, governance, and investor relations.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 20+ years in finance, with at least 810 years in senior leadership as CFO or Group Finance Director.
  • Proven track record in capital markets, corporate finance, and large-scale investment management.
  • Strong background in oilfield services, drilling, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business; CPA, CFA, or ACA required.
  • Experience working with Aramco and Saudi regulatory authorities highly advantageous.
