Position Summary
Responsibilities include managing water plant Operations & Maintenance, team supervision, and procedure creation.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and coordinate operational and maintenance activities for the facility.
- Hand on experience in operation of UF, RO, and wastewater systems.
- Oversee and manage the development of operational plans, procedures, and policies.
- Oversee the Operations and Maintenance team in all aspects.
- Conduct lab analysis using available instruments.
- Oversee the chemical inventory and initiate the requisite purchase order requests.
- Coordinate and/or provide training programs to ensure a high level of skill and proficiency among employees supervised and to conform with the company's health and safety guidelines as well as all environmental regulations.
- Upgrade facility procedures and performance to optimum levels.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Evaluate personnel and make recommendations for promotions and job re-assignments.
- Manage the petty cash expenses.
- Replace other engineers in case of leave.
- Ensure systems are in place for proper planning for all activities to minimize downtime.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Experience: 6 to 10 years.
Skills and Personal Attributes
- Willing to learn, self‑motivated, highly organized.
- Maintenance knowledge is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer skills are a must.
- Time management: the ability to organize and manage multiple deadlines.
- Must be fluent in English; Arabic is not necessary but is a plus.
