Scope of Position:
The Chef de Partie is responsible for assisting the Sous Chef in supervising and managing their section within the kitchen and supporting other areas of the culinary operation as needed.

Managerial Duties:
- Take full responsibility for the food quality and presentation in their section, and assist other areas of the culinary operation when required.
- Supervise their kitchen section and collaborate with other sections within the kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, stock management, and culinary techniques at all times.
- Monitor and control food quality, setup, presentation, buffet presentation, and timely delivery of dishes.
- Keep plating guides up-to-date and ensure they are properly distributed and followed according to dish descriptions, cooking methods, and presentation images.
- Prepare dishes in accordance with standards set and approved by the Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine.
- Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety for themselves and their team.
- Promote effective inter-departmental communication to foster teamwork and enthusiasm.
- Handle daily ingredient ordering and requests.
- Adhere to food safety standards set by Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Hotel and local regulations.
- Maintain professional appearance and grooming standards reflecting the hotel’s image.
Customer Focus and Colleague Relations:
- Attend to VIP guests’ dining needs and special dietary requirements.
- Ensure guest satisfaction aligning with MOHG’s quality standards and service pillars.
- Communicate rules and regulations effectively to colleagues.
- Participate in daily shift briefings and monthly meetings.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of kitchens and stewarding areas.
- Assist in training colleagues to enhance food knowledge and skills.
- Provide constructive feedback during performance appraisals.
Administrative Duties:
- Support food safety administration and ensure compliance.
- Assist with daily market list and inventory management.
- Follow procedures related to audits and other administrative tasks.
Additional Duties:
- Support other outlets for events if required.
- Attend scheduled meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
Sustainable Responsibilities:
- Implement eco-friendly practices, promote sustainability awareness, and seek ways to reduce environmental impact.
- Understand waste sorting, recycling, and conservation procedures.
