Job Summary
Salesman – Cash Van (DRD) is responsible for selling the cash van stores. He is responsible for visiting customers as per the daily route plan. He oversees the loading of stock into the van, takes account of stock availability at customers, takes orders, oversees unloading of stock at customers’ stores, and collects cash reliably. He will be responsible to drive the van during his visits.
Job Responsibilities
Sales Visits and Processing Sales Transactions
- Oversee the loading of the van every day at the warehouse
- Follow the daily route plan to make timely customer visits
- Discuss the sales order requirement with customers and take sales orders; audit customer stock to identify requirements
- Implement a proper distribution of Mayar’s full range
- Maintain an active customer base of 240
- Book orders in the sales handheld device, deliver stock, provide invoices to customers and collect cash
- Ensure cleanliness and appropriate arrangement of stock in the van
- Submit the invoices and cash collected to cashier in the warehouse at the end of each day
- Provide daily sales updates through SPERT daily endorsement sessions with the Sales Supervisor at the end of each day
- Handle customers professionally and address their queries efficiently
- Inspect damaged goods as per customer complaints and replace them according to company guidelines
Additional Tasks
- Ensure good maintenance and upkeep of the van
- Supervise the assistant and ensure his safety during material handling and commute
- Escalate issues to the supervisor when required
