Experts at this level are responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships, formulating short- and long-term plans to engage new industries and clients for outsourcing services, supporting the identification of strategic business opportunities in the BPO sector, and leading the identification and engagement with high-margin ventures such as customer experience management, back-office operations, and digital transformation outsourcing. They create market demand through awareness building, consultative sales, and thought leadership in BPO trends like automation, AI-driven processes, and offshore/onshore models. Additionally, they are responsible for building a prime client pipeline, leveraging expertise in cost optimization, scalability, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO certifications) specific to the BPO industry.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage consultative sales activities within a selected domain of expertise (e.g., customer service outsourcing, finance & accounting BPO, or IT-enabled services) within a given industry, while maintaining rapport with current partnerships and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met for long-term retention.
- Analyze potential business opportunities, including identification of emerging trends in BPO such as robotic process automation (RPA), cloud-based outsourcing, and omnichannel customer support, and develop relevant business cases tailored to target market segments like healthcare, retail, or finance.
- Start and manage business relationships with senior management in public and private sectors, focusing on BPO needs in the Kingdom and globally, emphasizing value propositions like cost reduction, operational efficiency, and workforce scalability.
- Identify and propose new investment/business opportunities in BPO, such as expanding into niche areas like knowledge process outsourcing (KPO), legal process outsourcing (LPO), or analytics-driven services.
- Develop policies, procedures, frameworks, and methodologies for BPO sales cycles, client onboarding, and risk management, incorporating industry best practices for data security, quality assurance, and vendor management.
- Provide regional-level expertise on BPO innovations, including ICT integration for outsourcing (e.g., AI chatbots, CRM systems), and advise on digitization strategies to enhance service delivery.
- Liaise with BPO vendors, technology partners, and service providers to develop and maintain long-term partnerships, ensuring alignment with global standards and exploring co-innovation opportunities in process optimization.
- Identify, analyze, and pursue market opportunities in smart cities, ICT/digitization, BPO for government services, and emerging trends like nearshoring or hybrid outsourcing models, while leading pursuits for high-value leads.
- Participate with government and corporate sales teams in tailoring bids for BPO contracts, customizing proposals to meet clients’ expectations around turnaround times, multilingual support, and performance metrics.
- Investigate, quantify, and qualify top governmental and corporate challenges (e.g., high operational costs, talent shortages, or regulatory compliance) and propose targeted BPO solutions to convert them into business wins, utilizing expertise in process mapping and benchmarking.
- Support seniors in detecting and realizing market openings, including smart cities outsourcing and digital transformation projects, and contribute to the handover to Key Accounts after reaching maturity, ensuring seamless transition with detailed client profiles and SLAs.
- Purposefully relate and involve with other departments (e.g., operations, delivery, and finance) during the full business development value chain until deal closure, fostering cross-functional collaboration for end-to-end BPO solution design.
- Convey market insights on emerging BPO industry trends (e.g., sustainability in outsourcing, remote work models) to the Solutions team to develop new ICT/digitization concepts and value propositions based on expertise in relevant verticals like e-commerce or telecommunications outsourcing.
- Support “Business Development & Innovation” in due diligence exercises by providing necessary inputs on BPO-specific factors, such as vendor capabilities, scalability risks, and ROI projections, to build and finalize robust business cases.
- Create a long-term opportunity funnel (more than 1 year horizon) and nurture this funnel till maturity.
- Strong digital transformation track record coupled with BPO expertise to maximize the value creation and value capture to Upsource by Solutions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- 5+ years of B2B/B2G sales experience, with at least 4 years focused on business devolvement.
- Proven track record of managing and growing high-value government, sovereign wealth fund (e.g., PIF), or mega-project accounts in Saudi Arabia.
- Strong understanding of Saudi Vision 2030, PIF’s Giga-Projects ecosystem, and public-sector procurement processes.
- Excellent Arabic and English communication skills (written and verbal) – mandatory.
