Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) in the pharmaceutical sector is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. The BDM will work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and regulatory affairs, to expand market presence and achieve business targets.
Key Responsibilities
Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, emerging trends, and new therapeutic areas.
- Analyze competitor activities, pricing strategies, and market demand to recommend business strategies.
Business Development & Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients, distributors, or partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and healthcare organizations.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize business growth and profitability.
Product Portfolio Management
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to design effective product launch strategies.
- Provide feedback to R&D and marketing on customer needs and market gaps.
Collaboration & Team Coordination
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of products and services.
- Train and guide junior staff or sales representatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or marketing in the pharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical products, regulatory requirements, and market dynamics.
