Summary

The SAP Finance Lead will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of SAP Finance (FI/CO) solutions across the organization. This role requires deep expertise in SAP Finance modules, strong business acumen, and leadership capabilities to manage teams, stakeholders, and complex project deliverables. The SAP Finance Lead will act as a trusted advisor to business and IT leadership, ensuring that financial systems are robust, integrated, and aligned with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Solution Design & Implementation
    • Lead end-to-end design and configuration of SAP Finance modules, including FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting) and CO (Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, COPA).
    • Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
    • Ensure seamless integration of Finance with other modules such as MM, SD, PP, HR, and PS.
    • Oversee data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.
    • Conduct workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions.
  • Leadership & Project Management
    • Lead a team of SAP Finance consultants (onsite and offshore) throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Manage multiple parallel initiatives, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget adherence.
    • Collaborate with program managers, technical leads, and business stakeholders.
    • Develop and enforce SAP finance governance standards and best practices.
  • Business Partnering
    • Serve as the key point of contact for finance and accounting departments.
    • Advise business leaders on leveraging SAP to optimize financial processes and reporting.
    • Drive process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support & Continuous Improvement
    • Provide expert-level support for critical finance operations and issue resolution.
    • Evaluate system enhancements, SAP upgrades, and S/4HANA migration opportunities.
    • Stay current with SAP innovations and industry best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years of total experience, with 10+ years in SAP Finance (FI/CO) implementation and leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in at least 3 full-cycle SAP implementations, preferably including S/4HANA.
  • Strong knowledge of Finance processes - record to report, procure to pay, order to cash, asset accounting, cost controlling, and profitability analysis.
  • Experience with integration to other SAP modules and third‑party systems.
  • Solid understanding of financial reporting, taxation, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and articulate value propositions.
  • SAP certification in FI/CO or S/4HANA Finance is a strong plus.
